Another string…

When I started this photographic journey, I decided to focus mainly on the resources sector and other heavy industries.

It’s an area I am comfortable in and one I enjoy. However, over the past few months I have had the opportunity to shoot a couple of conferences and events and have found I really enjoy the challenge of capturing interesting and compelling images in difficult conditions of which I have limited control.

I guess this is not dissimilar to work I do on mine sites. It’s a more documentary style along with environmental style portraits where I have to work with the conditions in front of me rather than the complete control of a studio (probably explains my love of surf photography as well).

These images where captured at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons conference at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre over a hectic but fun five days.
